Beloved Friends,
Celebration is an act of holy gratitude, and today, I joyously greet you as
Eden continues this year to celebrate one hundred and seventy-five years
in mission and one hundred years on the Webster Groves campus! What an
amazing legacy for an institution of higher learning! Over these years Eden
has been blessed by the Spirit’s leading, remaining faithful to our calling
even while navigating constant change.
In the ever-transforming platform of theological education, Eden strives to
remain faithful to what it means to be the Body of Christ in a world crying
out for justice and mercy. While remaining fiercely committed to learning
in context, we continue to be an institution that knows no bounds in
geography. We have fully embraced our blended education model –
creating a single community of learning and faith - with students learning
together on-campus AND online from across the country. Additionally, our
international students greatly enrich our community, bearing insights and
experience of the church and God’s people from countries such as India,
Kenya, and Rwanda.
As we commence on our 2025-28 Strategic Plan, we are especially
celebrating how diversifying our programs (degrees, certificates,
workshops, and cohorts) is empowering Eden’s mission to strengthen the
church by educating more leaders in an ever-expanding number of settings.
In these following pages, we look back on the year and celebrate Eden’s
enduring and transforming calling.
As Eden moves with the Spirit to serve the church, we thank you for
moving with Eden - engaging with our programs, encouraging leaders to
learn with us, and sharing of your financial gifts to strengthen the school.
Empowered so by God’s grace, there is indeed so much to celebrate!
